Finalmente elegí Qingdao Haitian Hotel El servicio es muy considerado. Algo desagradable sucedió en el camino de la estación al hotel. El taxista nos llevó hasta una puerta trasera que estaba cerrada y nos dejó allí. Es realmente vergonzoso para dos chicas que tiren sus bolsos mientras llevan dos maletas grandes. Mi madre era bastante crítica en ese momento. Afortunadamente, Sylar y Xiao Zhang fueron muy cálidos y serviciales en el hotel. Me ayudó a elegir una buena habitación. También proporciona mucha información circundante. Haz que tu madre se sienta muy satisfecha. Si no tengo que ir a Yantai al día siguiente, Mamá incluso quiere qued**** una noche más.

I found what looked like an engorged tick or bedbug crawling up my bed. The hotel is pretty and I booked it for 1 night as a luxury treat so I could get a good rest for my layover stop to another destination. My room smelt like stale smoke unfortunately, though I had asked for non-smoking. I paid extra on my booking for breakfast and had to wake up at 6am, eat breakfast at 6.30am and go to the airport at 7.20am. My room had a bathtub so I took a bath before bedtime and went to bed at midnight, I got up to go switch the lamp off at 1am and found this bug crawling up the side of my bed going towards me. I think it's either a tick or a bed bug, the body was full of blood. It had 6 or 8 legs, difficult to see but I took a video which doesn't allow me to upload. I don't have any problems with normal bugs such as spiders, but if it is a tick or bedbug it is a big problem. I was really worried there were more hiding inside the bed, I called reception for help and they looked at the bug which I caught in a glass cup. They apologised deeply and changed my room, so I had to move at 1.30am. I explained I was already tired and have to wake up early. In the new room I was unable to sleep as I kept worrying about bed bugs. I got up multiple times to check my bed. And there was a noisy couple next door talking loudly until very late so I couldn't sleep. For a luxury hotel you should not need to loose a whole night's sleep because you are worried about bedbugs or ticks biting you. Nor should be able to hear noise from other guests through the wall. I was extremely exhausted the next day and did not have any appetite. I asked if they could refund the extra I paid for breakfast because I couldn't eat it, but they said it wasn't possible. So I forced myself to try eat 1 egg and some small rice porridge but couldn't finish it. Really expensive to pay for breakfast and hardly eat, it's a shame they couldn't refund the breakfast considering I had no sleep. For a 5* hotel, I would like to have good rest and peaceful sleep. But it was not like that. The staff were very kind and helpful, but it's not so easy to travel here alone. It was not easy to book a taxi for the following morning to the airport and it took 40 minutes of assistance, the man was very kind and helpful, but the hotel should make an easier system for foreign guests to book taxi. When I first arrived in Jinan airport, I had no idea how to get to the hotel. There is no ATM inside the hotel so you cannot withdraw cash, and you cannot pay with foreign card to book a taxi. The shangri-la website did not provide any details for public transport. It simply said bus transfer was available but did not say which number bus. I would give the details here but I have forgotten the route name and bus number now as it was hectic and I was very tired, sorry. I had to waste a lot of time trying to ask for help at the airport as the staff did not speak English. Luckily someone helped me. The bus will cost 20yuan and take you into the centre where you will see the intercontinental hotel and a large shopping mall on the left side of the bus, get off at that stop, it takes 1 hour. From there it's only 5 minutes walk to shangri-la. For a big hotel they should provide easy instructions on the website to guests. The staff apologised deeply for the bug on the bed, and offered 10% reduction of the room rate. Although when I checked out no refund was given and they didn't mention anything about it, I think they just charged full price. Personally I think 10% is not enough anyway. Nobody wants to change rooms at 1.30am because of bugs crawling on the bed. I didn't get any sleep at all and felt itchy because I kept thinking about bugs and couldn't eat the breakfast. I was absolutely exhausted the following day so I was unable to do anything at my next destination and had to waste 1 day more to rest. Unfortunately not an easy experience at the shangri-la.

Stayed here recently and everything was on point. The room was clean, well-kept, and matched exactly what was advertised. Bed was comfortable, no issues with noise, and overall it felt properly managed—not one of those places that looks good only in photos. Service stood out. Ella and Lorna were both excellent: professional, responsive, and actually helpful, not just polite. They handled everything quickly and made the stay smooth from start to finish. Location is convenient, easy to get around, and close to what you need.

Perfect hotel. Staff really kind. Everything perfect clean. Breakfast amazing! High recommend. It is next to a shopping center, what is also perfect for meals.

Me alojé en el Qingdao Yihai Grand Garden Hotel durante mi reciente viaje a Qingdao, ¡y fue realmente increíble! Era un viaje familiar, y la habitación era espaciosa y cómoda. El hotel está muy cerca del área escénica de Baotu Spring, a solo tres o cinco minutos a pie. Se recomienda levantarse temprano para entrar al parque, recorrerlo y luego volver al hotel a comer y descansar. Por la tarde, se puede salir a las cinco para ir al lago Daming. Los tickets para el autobús turístico dejan de venderse a las 6:30 PM, y los barcos turísticos operan hasta las 9:00 PM. Se aconseja tomar el paseo en barco después de las 7:30 PM, cuando la Torre Chaoran se ilumina. Es recomendable alojarse dos noches seguidas. El personal de servicio es muy atento y nos obsequiaron pequeños regalos. El restaurante del hotel tiene un ambiente agradable para comer. También es muy cómodo pedir comida a domicilio, y los supermercados cercanos son muy accesibles. Para moverse, hay unos pequeños carritos tipo tuk-tuk por unos 20-30 yuanes, lo que hace que sea muy práctico ir a cualquier sitio.

The room was large, clean, high up, and had a great view. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good water flow. We enjoyed the breakfast choices, only the coffee machine was a disaster, as it, however, is a common issue with much too many hotels in China. The location of the Pullman is excellent, opposite of the “old town” and right besides the Wanda shopping centre, which houses a wide choice of restaurants (great Beijing style duck on the 3rd floor!). We do recommend staying at the Yantai Pullman.
