**Hotel Review: Aesthetic Excellence Overshadowed by Comfort Failures** Our recent stay at this supposedly 5-star hotel left us with mixed feelings. While the hotel clearly invested heavily in aesthetics, creating a visually stunning environment that looks fantastic in photos, the design seemed to prioritize form over function, ultimately compromising our comfort. Sadly, this became a deal-breaker for us. The most glaring issue was the room's ventilation and temperature control—or lack thereof. We visited in early March, and the entire building was excessively heated. Despite being from a tropical country and accustomed to warm weather, I found myself sweating in shorts and a singlet. The staff, though polite and eager to help, seemed powerless to address the issue. They provided us with a small portable AC unit, which was better than nothing, but it was clear from their demeanor that this was a recurring problem for guests. Sleeping was a nightmare. The only way to cool the room slightly was to keep the windows open, but this meant having the blinds and curtains up, allowing outside noise and light to flood in. The choice was between sleeping in a sauna-like environment or enduring the disturbances from outside. Needless to say, we had a terrible night's sleep and were relieved to check out after just one night. On a positive note, the service was impeccable. The staff truly deserve recognition for their efforts to assist guests despite the limitations they faced. The breakfast spread was also a highlight—delicious, varied, and reasonably priced, especially if you inform them in advance about adding breakfast to your stay. The room amenities were top-notch, and the spaciousness of the room added to the overall sense of luxury. We got a family suite which was plenty spacious and came with 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 bathtubs and a living area. However, these positives couldn’t outweigh the discomfort caused by the poor temperature regulation. During our trip, we stayed in four different cities across China, and this was the only hotel that lacked proper air conditioning and heating controls. For a 5-star establishment, this is a significant oversight. In conclusion, while the hotel excels in aesthetics, service, and amenities, the lack of a well-thought-out solution for room temperature is a major drawback. Management needs to address this issue with a long-term fix. After all, no matter how beautiful a hotel looks, it’s hard to appreciate it when you can’t get a good night’s rest.

PROS: Friendly staff. Even though not many speak English, they really try to solve any issues that arise. Lily, one of the hotel staff members, spoke excellent English and assisted us on several occasions. Billiards room — free. Laundromat on the −1st floor — free. You can buy detergent in the convenience store on the same floor. Good breakfast, but Chinese food only. You can also have lunch and dinner in the same restaurant for an extra charge. Other restaurants in the hotel: Hotpot, Hunan cuisine, Yunnan cuisine. McDonald’s right outside (huge lunch lines, though). Gym on the 10th floor. Prince Hotel near the 22nd lift offers additional dining options. Yunting Hotel on the right also has options, plus a Burberry store and a coffee shop with good coffee, desserts, and even mulled wine. Ski-in / ski-out hotel. You can use the magic carpet to go to Genting (Yunting) Resort on the right and take a gondola to the top, or ski down to the left and take the 22nd chairlift — very convenient. The hotel facilities were exceptionally clean and spacious. The breakfast menu was diverse and delicious, and evenings spent with a beer in the balcony jacuzzi were absolutely perfect! The special experience of interacting with deer and alpacas every morning was incredibly healing. The resort’s free access to an amusement park, water park, and hot springs made it ideal for family trips. The private beach was pristine and peaceful, offering a truly relaxing retreat. Reception and housekeeping staff were all very friendly. A special shout-out to 《Joy》, the only English-speaking staff member, who provided immense help throughout our stay—making our family trip even more enjoyable! It was a flawless resort experience. Очень классная каталка! В начале января приехали семьёй практически наугад, т к информации на русском языке о данных курортах очень мало, про трассы ещё меньше. Ну что я хочу сказать - за два дня пребывания всё не объехали! Трасс много, длинные (в среднем 3-4км, есть длиннее), широкие, разного уровня , безопасность на высоте, гандолы и креселки с подогревом, автоматически открывающиеся и закрывающиеся - очень комфортно. Оборудование в прокат все новое, в отличном состоянии, по цене сложно сказать - постоянно какие-то плюшки от отеля или приложения, знаю что за день 2взр комплекта и 2 дет комплекта лыж и ботинок, плюс 2 скипаса (еще два предоставил бесплатно отель) обошлись 13.000₽. Есть вечерняя каталка. Очень много проф спортсменов тренируются на спец трассах. Именно здесь в Yunding показалось мало зеленых трасс, в основном синие и красные. Когда собирались в поездку опасались привычных в Китае толп людей, но ни разу не стояли в очереди! Людей мало. Детей вообще практически нет, все учатся! Что касается самого отеля: надо понимать , что это огромное здание, где сосредоточено всё- и гостиница, и скицентр, и прокат, и куча кафе, магазинов, бассейны, спа, дет комнаты и прочее. Супер удобная система ski in - ski out и здесь так во всех отелях. Сам номер немного уставший, но при всех прочих плюшках - это не имело значения, 2 санузла, небольшая кухня и балкон с видом на трассы! Идеально! Включены завтраки, приемлемые, голодными не останетесь, а если останетесь - за соседней дверью Старбакс, kfc и пр. В общем, мы остались довольны, спасибо сотрудникам отеля, но задерживаться некогда, в 10 минутах езды здесь ещё два курорта Ваньлун и Thaiwoo!
