I stayed at Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach from 24 to 27 July. On the evening of 25 July, while applying body lotion as part of my normal daily routine, I noticed several small marks on my shoulder and upper inner thigh/groin area that appeared to be possible insect bites. I apply body lotion every day and am certain these marks were not present on the evening of 24 July after check-in. It was winter on the Gold Coast, and on 25 July I spent most of the day inside a shopping centre, wearing long sleeves and long trousers outdoors. I cannot say with certainty where the marks came from, but later that evening I also saw insects in the room and immediately reported the matter to the hotel. I did not want to remain in that room. I repeatedly tried to contact Trip.com because, based on previous experience, they have helped arrange alternative accommodation when hotel problems occur. Unfortunately, I could not reach Trip.com that night. The hotel told me it was fully booked and offered only two options: move to a room without air conditioning or remain in the same room after it had been cleaned. As it was late, I was overseas, and I had no practical alternative, I reluctantly accepted the temporary arrangement. That same evening, the hotel told me that I would be upgraded to another room the following day and that breakfasts on 26 and 27 July would be complimentary. Before accepting, I asked what would happen if the marks became worse. The staff did not make any promise regarding my physical condition or responsibility. They simply explained that the cleaning, room upgrade and breakfasts were “extra” goodwill gestures. I accepted based on that explanation and because I had no realistic alternative that night. The staff who initially handled my complaint were polite, professional and genuinely tried to help. My main disappointment was the hotel’s internal communication. For clarity, I paid for breakfast on 25 July myself. The hotel promised complimentary breakfasts only for 26 and 27 July, and I did not even have breakfast on 26 July. Despite this, I had to explain the same arrangement three times: 1. When collecting the key for the upgraded room on 26 July, the front desk initially said breakfast was not included. 2. On the morning of 27 July, the restaurant reception again said I needed to pay. 3. At check-out on 27 July, the front desk attempted to charge me for three breakfasts. The charges were eventually removed, but only after I explained the situation again. My criticism is not directed at individual employees, as everyone I dealt with was polite and willing to help. The real issue was the lack of communication between the department handling my complaint, the front desk and the restaurant. The location is excellent and the staff attitude was generally good, but discovering possible insect bites and insects in the room was already stressful. Having to repeat the same issue three times because the hotel’s own goodwill arrangement had not been communicated internally made the experience even more disappointing. I hope the hotel improves its room hygiene, complaint-handling procedures and communication between departments.

La variedad de alimentos y la tasa de relleno pueden ser mejores en la zona del salón durante los períodos de pico durante los fines de semana. ¡Puede pedir chocolate caliente y omeleta que no se encuentre en el área (toque agradable) ¡La presión del agua para las duchas puede ser mayor!

The jacuzzi and sauna at the Marriott were truly excellent! However, the phone in the room didn’t work, the bathroom drain was prone to clogging, and the drain in the washbasin was stuck closed. Also, there was a connecting door to the next room, so the noise from the neighboring guests was extremely loud and made the stay difficult.

Very close to the Fortitue valley bar area. Pool is small on the roof top so it’s not heated. Generally quite good. Not exactly located at the central CBD.

I think this is one of the best Marriot hotels I stayed. It has a beautiful lagoon and facilities and services are good. Two tram stops away from surfers paradise. View is from the room is also nice.

Room is very big and with a open kitchen. The room and facility is very new. The hotel staffs are also very friendly and responsive. The location is also very good and just next to the beach. There is also 5mins walk from the tram station. Overall I have a very nice and relaxing stay here, and I will visit the hotel again.

Primero, es más pequeño que el Riley. Normalmente, el precio sube en ese orden: Bailey < Flynn < Riley, pero ayer, el Riley Ring Flynn tenía el mismo precio... Debería haber elegido el Riley... Es un hotel moderno (?) con un ambiente juvenil. Y si es posible, pide una habitación en la Torre Esplanade. Estuve en la Torre Abbott... y la vista era del hotel de al lado. Jajaja. La habitación estaba increíblemente húmeda, así que si apagabas el aire acondicionado aunque fuera un momento... olía raro. Se oía música alta afuera hasta después de las 3 de la madrugada (estaba en el cuarto piso). Fui de vacaciones, ¡pero no pienso volver!

Decidí alojarme en un hotel de 5 estrellas al volver de Gold Coast. Como sabía que Brisbane tiene calles empinadas, y no estaba preparado con mi reciente artroplastia de rodilla, es un verdadero reto subir hasta el hotel con el equipaje y subir y bajar dos veces al día. Por lo demás, todo bien. Quizás pueda darme más información sobre el perfil del hotel, especialmente para parejas de mediana edad (mayores de 55).

Absolutamente pros. Caliente, eficiente y bienvenido. El hotel mismo? ¡Gorgeous. The grounds? Pristine. ¡No puede ser inexplicable que el lugar es realmente hermoso! Pero luego... la custodia entró en el chat. No sé si eran cortos o simplemente espiritualmente contrarios a la coherencia, pero la limpieza fue menos “mantenimiento cuidadoso” y más “sugerencia vaga”. Cada día fue un nuevo episodio de Qué se olvidarán de esta vez? Toallas? Tal vez. ¿Quién sabe? Sopa? Eso es un lujo, aparentemente, sólo martes. Un día se hizo la cama, pero las bañeras y los espejos claramente no habían sido tocados. El piso de la ducha se mantuvo permanentemente en arena, un encantador pequeño ecosistema de ancestros que se puso en nuestro campamento en la cocina, y la gran final: volvimos de un día explorando el impresionante Daintree para encontrar nuestra puerta de habitación abierto a la izquierda. Es realmente inolvidable. En el día 5 no estaba loco, estaba invertido. ¿Fue este arte de performance? ¿Fuimos parte de un experimento social? ¿Es así como comienza el minimalismo? Así que sí, hotel increíble, escritorio frontal sin fallos, pero mantenimiento de casas? Los ciegos están en las habitaciones y no hay cortinas de la noche para la intimidad. ¿Volvería? Quizás. Pero traeré mis propias toallas. Y un puñetazo.
