Me gusta mucho este viejo hotel, la ubicación perfecta, el servicio budista y entusiasta, el servicio de México es realmente muy bueno. Determinadamente, los pisos administrativos, los desayunos de café con cocina son gratuitos. El servicio es realmente grandioso y permite que la gente reduzca sus gastos sin embargo.

Había una pequeña “cucina” con un refrigerador y microondas y un fabricante de café que parecía que no se ha utilizado durante mucho tiempo antes de llegar a la piscina... había 2 conjuntos de sillas en la piscina. El desayuno continental es un buffet de 190 pesos y es muy agradable. El pólvora principal era muy bonito y nos encantó el complimentario “baño de vapor”, que es una habitación de vapor con cabezas de ducha... necesitan saber 10 minutos antes de precalentarlo. También nos ayudaron a organizar nuestra excursión a cenotes que era más barato que lo que vimos en otros lugares. Es lo suficientemente cerca de la zona popular llamada “centro” a 25 minutos a pie y 10 minutos al consulado de los Estados Unidos

We stayed here for two nights. Overall, the property itself is nice, but unfortunately our experience with billing and included services was disappointing. At check-in, the amount I was charged at reception was 300 pesos higher than what was stated in my official booking confirmation. I was told it was due to a different exchange rate, but the booking document clearly listed the price in Mexican pesos, so there shouldn’t have been any exchange difference. The next morning at breakfast, the waitress informed us that breakfast was not included in our stay, even though it was clearly included in our booking. I had to return to reception to sort it out. The same situation happened again with the two pizzas and soft drinks that were included in our package. When we called to order them, we were told they were not included. Once again, I had to go back to reception to clarify and prove what we had paid for. It felt like I had to repeatedly go to reception to justify and confirm services that were already included in our reservation. That’s not the kind of experience you expect when booking a hotel stay. Clear communication between reception and restaurant staff would greatly improve the guest experience.

Horrible service! They first gave us to a room which was fine upon entering but then we saw people’s clothes and shoes. We went back to reception. She said that her colleague made mistake and gave our room away to someone else without putting in the system. She gave us another room which was smelly like hell! I asked her to change or refund. She said its the only room left and she knows its smelly and she was sorry but she couldn’t do anything. She could only put us to another room the next day. She also refused to compensate. It was midnight. We had no local sim card so had no choice but to stay. At night there was lots of noise from boiler/machine so we couldn’t sleep. It ruined our holiday. They changed us to a different room next day but refused to compensate. We had to suffer at our own cost! The location is god and the room after changed was fine. But they made us suffer for their mistake yet refused to compensate! Such a shame for a hotel to behave like this! So if you don’t want surprise or ruin your holiday, try to avoid this hotel!

Amazing stay – Highly recommended! This hotel was absolutely wonderful. The views from inside were stunning, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. When they found out it was my first time visiting Mexico, they brought out a map of the city and went above and beyond by marking all the key spots — including what to see, opening hours, entrance fees, and how to get there. They also recommended several authentic Mexican restaurants to try, giving me plenty of great options. On top of that, they provided detailed advice on how to travel around the area — including transportation tips and fair prices — which really helped me feel safe and confident exploring. Their hospitality completely changed my perception of Mexico and made me feel very welcome. If I ever return to Valladolid, no matter how many times, I’ll definitely stay here again!

One of my favorite accommodations in Mexico. The resort was beautiful and the staff were incredibly friendly. After reading reviews of how tricky it was to find the resort we were nervous, but all we did was message the resort on whatsapp and they sent very clear instructions how to get there. You'd have to come in from Valladolid but that was a nice detour to see the city! I have stayed at big name resorts that were equally as nice that were charging triple the price, this place is an underrated gem and not crowded (we were the only two people on the resort, we felt like royalty). We will be back. As two history nerds we enjoyed that the grounds had their own mayan ruins and 3 cenotes to explore.

Me gustó todo la verdad. Es un hotel muy completo y con un precio muy competitivo. El desayuno me gustó mucho por la variedad para el precio que tenía. Muy recomendable!

Me alojé en Residence Inn Mérida durante un mes en enero de 2024. Me gustó la ubicación y los servicios. Está muy cerca del centro comercial Galleria, Costco y un supermercado grande. Puedes tomar el autobús R72 al centro de Mérida, lo cual es muy conveniente si no tienes coche o no quieres conducir. La habitación está limpia y equipada con cocina completa. El desayuno está incluido. El personal de recepción también es muy amable. Nos ayudaron a organizar dos excursiones privadas de un día a sitios mayas y cenotes. Lo único que recomendaría es mejorar la calidad y añadir más opciones al desayuno. No hay mucha variedad. El refrigerador es un poco ruidoso por la noche.

El personal ha sido muy servicial al atender nuestras solicitudes cuando pedimos cambiar las habitaciones y más toallas. También nos recomendaron lugares para visitar cerca. La ubicación es muy concurrida: frente a la estación de Ado tienes la opción de subirte directamente a un autobús, pero el vecindario es, por supuesto, el que está alrededor de una estación. Muy cerca del mercado, debes caminar 20 minutos hasta la plaza central para encontrar la parte bonita de Mérida. La limpieza estaba limpia, pero las comodidades deben revisarse: no hay espejo en la habitación, lavabo muy pequeño, la ventana del baño no se podía cerrar y no había secador de pelo.

What a great little capsul hostel. It’s a little way from the main areas in Merida, but only a 10-15 min walk, so fine overall. The place it spotlessly clean. You get towel and bedding. The doors in the capsule lock which is great for a sense of security and they are very private. The aircon can be a bit aggressive so ask for a blanket which they have. I don’t have the waffles in the end, but I smashed the free coffee and tea ! Staff were soo very welcoming and kind to me. I would highly recommend this accommodation either for a short or long stay. Get it booked !
