«We had an amazing time at NASPA New Otani — this hotel is a fantastic choice if you’re visiting Yuzawa, especially for a winter getaway! The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay, making us feel right at home from check-in to check-out.
Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a day of skiing. The location is ideal for winter sports lovers with ski-in/ski-out access to the slopes and easy shuttle service to Echigo-Yuzawa Station, which made getting around a breeze even in snowy weather.
The onsen and bathing facilities were relaxing and just what we needed after spending time outdoors. The buffet breakfast and dinner had plenty of variety and were really enjoyable, with something for everyone.
While the hotel is set a little away from town, the free shuttle made it convenient to explore the area if we wanted. Overall, it felt like a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and superb service — highly recommended!»

«I’m giving my honest opinion. This is my first unsatisfied review for a hotel room. I was very disappointed by the room for the price I paid. I paid more for this room than what I paid for luxury upscaled room near Tokyo Disney. The photos online were very deceiving. When I entered my room, it was gross, i cringed, and my toes curled. I didn’t want to put my belongings down. The carpet was old and disgusting. The pull out couch bed was gross. There were stains on the couch back rest and the mattress. The sheet for the mattress was too small it didn’t cover the stained mattress. The beds were hard and didn’t feel clean. The shower curtain had a bad odor. The room was very dated. Since this hotel is pretty secluded and other hotels were booked we had to make do. I’m glad we only stayed one night. On a better note, the staff were very friendly and service was great. Location for skiing was amazing, and the free shuttle bus was fabulous. Naeba Prince Hotel really need to do better with their rooms. I was looking forward to bringing my entire family of 14 to stay a few nights next year, but after seeing the rooms, I will not stay here again unless they renovate their rooms which are in dire need of upgrades.»

He utilizado el APA Hotel muchas veces, así que no me había imaginado mucho, pero me alegro de que las instalaciones fueran más ricas de lo que me habían esperado, como grandes piscinas públicas, instalaciones de conveniencia y VOD gratis.
Además, tal vez sea por la novia, la comida de buffet preparada para el arroz fresco cocido en la cuna, lo que me satisface más personalmente.

Easily accessible by public transport since the location is next to Niigata station (bus, train, taxi, shinkansen) next to cocola mall (inside got 3 coins, eateries, pharmacy, coffee shop, famous udon shop, xebion sports, diors etc), lawson, family mart, 7e.. Walking distance to Donki, Isetan…
just name it!

UUsuario invitadoThe hotel itself was nice, but the staff at the ski resort was horrible, the rentals are also not well maintained. The boards are not waxed, which makes it difficult to work with as there are a lot of flat routes which are difficult to avoid (Pony and village road were the flattest slope Ive ever seen in my life, I had to unstrap and walk and the board just wouldn't move). Ski resort staff were unfriendly and the rental staff was the worst, there was a lady there that was cold and rude. The only reason why the rental shop is surviving is probably because the equipments are salomon branded and that there is no other option. I would visit again but only because the routes are fun, Myoko long run was the best, but I would never want to rent from the shop again.
The food was very very good. For breakfast, you could choose from western or Japanese buffet. Western buffet is highly recommended, the omelette was the best ive eaten in my life and there was a diy risotto which was great as well. For dinner, there were 4 options, either buffet, steak, Japanese or shabushabu. All requiring reservations which is tough if you are checking in the evening as some might not be available. Highly recommend the steak, the food was good and the staff were amazing. Japanese was the hardest to get a reservation for but the food was quite underwhelming. The room was clean and ski lockers are also provided but it's tiny and can barely fit 2 boards. But I wish that in the toilet in the common area, you can adjust the tap temperature as the water is freezing cold.
Amenities wise, bottled water are provided daily, also, yukata was provided but you can only wear them to the onsen which was extremely troublesome as I had to change multiple times a day.
The hotel provides shuttle bus services to and fro jyoetsumyoko station which was easy to book. The bus drivers were also friendly and helped out with the luggage.
In summary, for a 5 stars hotel, it didn't live up to expectations, ski resort and rental staffs were unwilling to help and unfriendly. Also, some of the staffs could not speak Japanese which is puzzling for a hotel in Japan. If not for the amazing snow and slopes I would never come back.

Yesterday, we were unfortunately involved in a car accident. The hotel was very understanding and kindly allowed us to reschedule our stay to another day. We were deeply touched by your flexibility and consideration.
Today, we experienced another accident in the mountains. During this difficult time, one the staff was incredibly kind and supportive. She helped us communicate and translate with the police, ensuring that we could clearly explain the situation and receive assistance. Her help was truly invaluable in getting us safely rescued.
In addition, the hotel manager and staffs generously drove us from the police station back to the hotel and assisted us with the necessary follow-up arrangements. Their patience, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond their duties meant so much to us.
We are truly grateful for the care and support we received. It has been a blessing to be guests at Oosado Hotel, and we will always remember your kindness.

UUsuario invitadoEn general, me gusta este hotel de aguas termales que fue construido en un lugar que contiene 16 casas que datan del siglo XVII. El hotel en sí, su jardín y su habitación no tienen mala pinta. Sin embargo, el aire acondicionado de la boutique se rompió ayer y hacía mucho calor para comprar allí. No estoy seguro si fue reparado hoy. En el baño se guardaba una bolsa de cepillo abierta sin pasta de dientes. ¿Esperaban que la usara o qué? El servicio y la comida pueden ser mejores, pero no lo tomen a mal, ya son buenos, solo que tengo un estándar muy alto, en particular cuando hablamos de alimentos. Me gustan los dos licores gratuitos, uno en oferta y el otro en vino de ciruela, que se ofrecen todas las noches de 17:00 a 19:30. :) El hotel puede organizar muchas actividades de viaje y experiencias y es necesario reservar en línea con antelación. Se ofrece servicio de transporte gratuito entre el hotel y la ESTACIÓN ECHIGO YUZAWA y también es necesario reservar con antelación, un gesto muy generoso.

LLieu Munn LoongMy wife and I have had a 3-night stay at this Toyoko Inn Joetsu Myok Eli Nishi Gucci Room #1306 from 13 to 16 October 2025.
The Hotel is just a 1-minute walk away from the Joetsumyoko Station. Similar to other Toyoko Inns, the modest reception is on the First Floor and it has limited parking lots on besides the Hotel, and also a bigger open car park about a 2-minute walk away. So we are grateful and thankful that we were given a lot for just ¥300 per day for 3 days at the open car park very nearby. The Hotel staff are polite and helpful, and are not quite able to communicate in simple English.
As the Hotel is located quite away from the city centre of this very small city, so there is no shopping centre nearby except a few eateries are near the Station and within comfortable walking distance.
The hotel room is the standard typical type whereby it is small but very clean. The bed and pillows are comfortable for our liking, and the small bathroom - again the typical Japanese type - is clean and its has strong water pressure for a comfortable shower.
Like all Toyoko Inns, the Hotel provides daily breakfast of simple home cook styles; varieties are limited, but it is very comforting that gives a nice start for the day. Also, it offers free coffee and tea via machines 24 hours daily.
At SGD S$97 per night with breakfast, we find it value for money and we will choose to stay here if we travel to Joetsu or Myoko again.

SSze Yu FungMy wife and I visited this onsen resort in 2023 and we loved it. My wife especially likes the many onsens they have. We have always wanted to come here again and finally did after 3 years. Like three years ago, the room and facilities are very clean and well maintained everything just as they were. One thing did change and we are quite upset about it, is that the staff is not as enthusiastic as they were (there are some familiar faces, many new ones). I still recommend this place to everyone, Futaba is still the best compared to the other two onsen resorts we’ve visited in between. Hope they can figure out some way to motivate the staff and offer a better experience to guests.
