We stayed here one night on a stopover to Clifden and to meet up with some friends. This is a very nice hotel. Met with a friendly face at reception and quickly checked in. The room was large and had all the facilities that you would expect. We had our evening meal and breakfast here and both were excellent. Good choice of food and of high quality. Staff friendly and attentive. A five minute walk into town with a short cut path so you don't need to walk on the road. We didn't use the leisure facilities so can't comment on same. A pleasant stay.

This was a great place to stay in Ballina; centrally located so that we could park our car and mostly walk where we needed to go. Also was able to have the desk call us a cab if we needed to go farther. The room was small, but the bathroom was spacious and the bed was quite comfy. The only thing not comfortable was the heat, but the hotel furnished us with a fan and we tried keeping the windows open. We spent one evening at the downstairs bar with friends, which was cozy with live music. We spent another evening with friends at the bar upstairs, which was also terrific for our needs. One evening we ate at the restaurant with a fabulous river view seat. Loved watching the fishermen while we ate. Actually saw them catching salmon in the river! Plus our meal was absolutely delicious and the staff was attentive. Finally, we had four breakfasts in the restaurant and the quality and quantity was terrific to get us through most of the day. Lots of variety to choose from, and they were open to flexible choices.

The perfect venue in a gorgeous location for a special family gathering. From the beginning the team at this hotel were absolutely fantastic . After arranging a group event in their hotel they were so helpful arranging rooms , spa treatments and food . Beds were so comfortable and rooms with lots of space , the food was absolutely fabulous for all meals in the bar and such a nice breakfast and evening meal in Luseas Restaurant which was absolutely fabulous. The spa is so lovely if you would like a nice treatment their team are outstanding professionals. The staff were so helpful, kind and friendly. Thank you to Carmel , Emma in reservations for helping me with this , Our waitress Aoife (Luseas)for making our weekend so special. Sarah , Shamus and the Murray Family Galway

We recently stayed at the Ellison Hotel as we were attending a concert in the Royal. We opted for room service as we had limited time to get ready, and I was blown away by how quick and efficient it was. The food arrived hot and absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were perfectly crafted! A special shoutout to the young man who delivered our order—he was so friendly and efficient, which made the experience even better. The reception staff were also lovely & extremely helpful, especially Annie and Lisa. Overall, I highly recommend the Ellison Hotel for its excellent service, delicious food, and great location. I can’t wait to return!

We travelled here as a group of 30 people for a overnight company event in October, we found the experience absolutely amazing from start to finish. Organizing the event was so easy with Joanne Coates in Sales, she looked after all of our requests. All the staff were so helpful especially in Reception, Leisure Centre and in the restaurant/bar. All of our guests were raving about the rooms. The food was excellent and even with a large group all the cooking preferences were accommodated. Thank you so much to the Knockranny team for a wonderful evening!

We stayed on our way home from Knock Airport. So convenient as we had to travel early the next morning back to Galway. The Staff were very friendly, the beds were comfortable and the food was fantastic. I have dietary restrictions and the chef accommodated me perfectly, which unfortunately doesn’t always happen. There was an event on downstairs but this didn’t interfere with our overnight stay at all. Breakfast was delicious and check out was simple. Just very convenient.

My wife & I stayed three nights. This was our third visit to Knock. Very enjoyable again and thanks to Stephen Rogers manager for giving us a refurbished room 119. Walk-in bathroom nicely decorated but only concern was the shower wasn’t powerful enough. Accommodation increased the valve but it only improved it a little which overall was a bit of a shame. The most important part of the show should be the power. The dinner package we had was 10/10. Nice plenty of shoulder of lamb absolutely delicious and next day big portions of Irish beef thick cut and very tasty. Full marks and highly recommend was the waitress Anne. Very polite paid real attention and customer service 10/10. We will be back again and next time will bring our young adult son and daughter. Attended the old church mass and baslisca on Sunday. The cafe which is 5-7 mins from the basilica serves delicious cakes with cream and ice cream.

We stayed for 3 nights and we cannot recommend this hotel enough. All of the staff were excellent. There was a problem with my brother in laws wheelchair accessible room and it was sorted straight away. Our family room was very spacious with gorgeous fluffy towels in the bathroom. The food in the bar and restaurant was delicious. Great choice for breakfast although food titles beside each food would be helpful. Alison in the restaurant looked after our every need when we had dinner there. The housekeeping staff were always very courteous. My wheelchair user brother in law would like to especially compliment the staff member who brought down his suitcase to reception upon check out, without being asked. We will definitely return.
