We stayed, my husband daughter and son, as part of a special needs group weekend stay. We were greeted by the receptionist who was warm and extremely professional as all staff were in the Hotel. The food, breakfast and dinner were all fresh and plentiful and delicious. We stayed in rooms on the third floor which were spacious and housed really comfortable beds. There were tea and coffee making facilities and there was a room service menu. There was a safety deposit box and clean white robes in the wardrobe and slippers. There is a leisure center with a 20 meter pool which again was lovely and a separate Jacuzzi. There is a Sauna and a mist/shower room which again was a surprise and which I would recommend. There is a spa which we didn't use but looks beautiful. Everything on their website is true to reality. The only one thing which I was disappointed about was that there is a hair salon located at the Leisure Centre run by a lady called Anne (I found her name from the receptionist at the Spa). This was a Saturday and I wanted to book a wash and blowdry for later in the afternoon. I left messages from 10 am and texted and the reply each time was ”This is Anne please leave a text message or call and I will get back to you”. I later found out from the ladies on the Leisure Centre reception that Anne isn't in situ on Saturday. I was very disappointed whereas if the message on her phone had been that she didn't open on Saturday, it would have saved my disappointment. Just a suggestion as I'm sure there could be others in the same situation. We would definitely however return to Hotel Kilkenny for a stay in the future. Thank you Aoife Myler and family

El hotel está a dos minutos del Castillo y en pleno centro. Muy bien conservado, baños renovados, camas comodas y habitaciones amplias. Wifi va fenomenal, personal muy agradable, desayuno muy bueno. Tienen acuerdo con el parking que está justo enfrente por 7,5€ euros la noche.

This hotel was a good choice. Great location, close to many bars, restaurants and tourist attractions. The check in was smooth and staff were very friendly. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is a la carte and it was delicious. The bar of the hotel is cool as well, although service is very slow, but the servers are friendly and there’s live music at night. I recommend this hotel.

An excellent experience from arrival to departure.The food at lunch was served by friendly courteous staff and was very tasty,dining in the grill restaurant was an amazing culinary delight and prompted a return visit soon. The bedroom was lovely warm and spacious,it is without reservation that I recommend a stay at this fabulous estate hotel.

Estaba aquí anoche con amigos. Recibido una bienvenida muy cálida! Todos los miembros del personal son muy amables y útiles. El cuarto de gemelo era pequeño y de fecha, pero no nos molestó porque necesitamos a un lado para tirar la cabeza después de las bebidas. La habitación es muy agradable, pero no es muy agradable. No hay nada de fantasía, sino cómodas camas limpias, increíble hospitalidad y el mejor desayuno nunca.

This hotel is a stunning find and hidden gem. The hotel is small in comparison to most chain hotels however it could easily compete with them and beat a lot of them. The staff are wonderful, very friendly and kind. I arrived later in the evening and had a long journey. The lady who I met on reception, (apologies i didn’t get her name) was very nice she offered me an add on breakfast rate and I just found her to be very helpful and friendly. A great first impression of this hotel. My next great impression was my room. It is beautifully decorated with my favourite Ritiual products in the bathroom. There was a nespresso machine plus tea making facilities and an iron and ironing board also available. I then dined in the bar and had a lovely waitress called Avril who gave me great help with the menu and heled me choose my main course. She assured me it was very tasty and it certainly was. Avril also very kindly gave me directions for my journey in the morning. Avril again is another great addition to this hotel. I stay in ALOT of hotels and have worked in them for years. I can certainly highly and wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

This is going to be a very mixed review, so I’ll start off with the positive, which is what went right. The staff at Mount Juliet Estate are absolutely wonderful. Everyone was warm and friendly. We had a lovely meal at the Hound, and the singer that was playing at the bar after dinner on Saturday night was really brilliant, and that created a bit of atmosphere and made for a great night. Our room was lovely, and the grounds are beautiful. We also enjoyed breakfast. Now the negative: Upon arriving at the spa we were surprised by the facilities. There were three of us, and one very small changing room, with only one toilet, and one shower. It was quite cramped. We had our treatments, and all three of us discussed afterwards that we weren’t asked what pressure we wanted, and that the pressure was far too light, resulting in disappointing treatments. Of course, the typical irish women that we are, we didn’t complain during the treatment. This is on us - we should have told them that we wanted firmer pressure, but a note to the spa staff, it’s unlikely that ANYONE wants to pay that kind of money for a massage that light. Always ask how the pressure is a few minutes into a treatment. After our treatment we went back to the changing rooms to shower and get ready. Challenging with only one shower, and only one hairdryer…if you could call it that. After testing the hairdryer, which provided nothing but a faint breeze, my mam and sister decided to stick it out with the oils in their hair till we could get access to our rooms, as their hair would take about 5 hours to dry using what was provided. I braved it, drying my hair under the hand dryer. User beware - I lost a good tuft of hair which got ****** into the dryer in the process. I only have myself to blame, but it was a cold day, and I wasn’t going around with wet hair and our room wasn’t going to be ready for hours. So all in all - the spa was an expensive, and poor experience. Not a great start. 140EUR each. We then went for lunch in the old manor. There’s casual dining on the ground floor. This was a huuuuge mistake. My advice to anyone going to mount juliet is to eat in The Hound (which was very nice later that day) or try the Michelen star (can’t rate it as we did not go), but do not eat in the more casual part of the old manor building. We paid something like 25EUR each for a steak sandwich that was completely flavourless, and overcooked. It was really bad. We also got a prawn cocktail (hard to get wrong and it was fine) and mushroom soup (delicious), but the steak sandwiches cost us 50EUR in total, and were terrible. It’s really hard to get a steak sandwich wrong in my opinion, but there you have it. Not great! Then before dinner we went to the 1757 bar, which was beautiful, but surprisingly understaffed, and it took is a half hour to get a drink.
