this hotel is good overall, but when we arrived, they told us that we didn't have a booking with them and they couldn't locate our booking and details. the room was also said to be taken, and they are waiting for a cancellation in order to get our room. There is a lot of confusion among staff. some visitors were told to leave their rooms once they have entered. we waiting 1 hr 30 min to get our room. so check in was at 4.30pm. parking was also very inconvenient, as we had to park at the basement, which was impossible to even get one if you came into the hotel late and a T&G card was also needed to get validated before leaving the hotel if we wanted a free spot. Room was very spacious and clean. the tea and coffee was hard like its never been changed.

I’ve always wanted to spend a day at Lone Pine Penang, and I’m so happy I finally got the chance to experience it. 🤍 Everything about the stay was lovely, from the beautiful colonial-inspired surroundings and charming architecture to the peaceful atmosphere and thoughtful service. The whole place feels like a little escape from the busy world, with such a timeless and whimsical charm. It was exactly the kind of place I had imagined it would be, and getting to slow down and enjoy a day here felt really special. Definitely a stay I’ll remember and a place I’d love to return to someday. ✨

We really enjoyed our stay at Shangri-La Rasa Sayang. The hotel was beautiful, very clean and well maintained, and the facilities were excellent. The staff were friendly, welcoming and always helpful. Breakfast was one of the highlights — there were so many different options to choose from, and everything we tried was really tasty. There was plenty of variety, so it was easy to find something we both enjoyed. We especially loved the peaceful atmosphere, the beautiful grounds and the easy access to the beach. Our room was comfortable and the whole resort felt very relaxing. The location is a little further from George Town, but Grab made it easy to get around. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it.

Los desayunos son decentes, con mucha comida asiática, por supuesto, pero también se puede encontrar algo sencillo, un café delicioso y fruta. Room with sea view. Request for double bed but was given twin bed. Good location. Body soap not refilled. No hot shower water. There’s a food court opposite the hotel. Breakfast provided is good.

Excellent resort and service overall, but beware of the concierge's personal tours!: overall, our stay at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang was top-notch. The rooms, amenities, location, and staff service were all A+ grade. Hilton maintains its high standards, and we were thoroughly enjoying our trip—until we interacted with the concierge service. Unfortunately, the concierge technically misled us into taking a personal/private trip. It ended up costing us a huge amount of extra money in damages/demurrage, which felt like a personal scam/cheating. It was completely unprofessional and left a very bitter taste on an otherwise perfect vacation. The Hilton management seriously needs to monitor and be extremely cautious about their concierge team's activities and recommendations. Guests should be very careful when taking tour advice or booking transport/trips directly through the concierge here. Aside from this concierge incident, everything else at the hotel was excellent. But because of this issue, I urge both future guests and management to stay vigilant.

The buffer restaurant got a nice view, but not our room, Negative - we were allocated the room could see the opposite building closely, means other buildings could see us as well. No privacy at all. Rooms getting a bit dated The rubbish bin not clean up every day We haven't been notified there was a short renovation upstairs in the afternoon, we were taking rest at the hotel by that time. The worse is after we come back from dinner, the light at the corridor and in our room all dark. This is the first time I experienced all night off in my hotel room. The manager told me that because we switched off the main switch, and made both rooms light off. Do you think it is possible for us even turn off the corridor light and another room night? In fact, we never turn off the light.

The location is great for independent solo travellers. It sits right in front of a beach. Breakfast is very good with variety and good service and a great view. However wifi in the room is spotty and the TV reception could be better.
