The Grand is in the middle of an extensive refurbishment programme. I booked 4 room for 2 nights on each side of my daughter's graduation - which I explained to the hotel in advance, so we could have rooms close together to help with hairdressing etc. First the good - beautiful building with stunning original features within a contemporary refurbishment. Stunning public areas, easy parking (albeit the car park is v tatty). The BEST service staff - accommodated all our requests, gave my daughters free parking as a gift. Everyone was delightful, helpful and effective. The bar was superb, superb service and drinks. Breakfast was gorgeous - huge variety with quality ingredients, beautifully presented. The rooms were simple yet luxurious. V nicely appointed bathrooms, comfy bed, lovely shower products. The bad - two of us had to change rooms due to ineffective / not working aircon. Unfortunately, my room was worst with heat topping 33 degrees, even hotter when the hairdresser arrived. I GOT NO SLEEP due to the heat. My friend had already had her room changed before she arrived due to a maintenance issue but her new room had no aircon at all - worth knowing that 4 stars does not mean aircon in all rooms (only 50%) have it. After having to back up we were allocated new rooms. My friend's room was an upgraded one. Mine was not, but the aircon worked to a nearly acceptable level. That said, nothing close to the ”fridge” temperature my daughter / boyfriend and her brother, enjoyed. I spoke to the manager after breakfast as I checked out. He too was charming and completely accepted my complaint. In essence, the ”build” is still happening and he is reporting the snagging issues. Given dinestiv builds can be a nightmare, he did my sympathy as he is trying to coordinate this, much larger build, with people getting in the way. I would love to revisit in 6mths or so - as so much of what they are doing is fantastic - its just quite there yet...but it will be fabulous!

Había un guardaespaldas que se acomodaría con la habitación, cambiaría las toallas, pero el camarote no cambiaría diariamente. En general, la estancia era buena, sin embargo, ya que no hay desayuno incluido, se limita a ser un poco sobrepreciado.

A great location,easy accessible from M1. This hotel has lost its way, would only call it a 2 star not 4 star. Food was average, my dinner guest received their meal 8 minutes before mine arrived. (There were only one other couple in the restaurant and the same happened to them) No cutlery was supplied until mine arrived. I have never seen a jug of gravy so congealed it wouldn't pour and tasted very salty. The grounds could be amazing but are unkempt and littered with cigarette butts and other rubbish. There seemed to be minimal staff on duty. Unfortunately I would not stay again.

The hotel is very conveniently located, and the staff are very helpful. However, it’s worth noting that the rooms are equipped with an air-cooling system rather than air conditioning; with temperatures in the thirties these past few days, it’s still very hot in the rooms and I haven’t been able to sleep.

Ongoing issues with a refund from previous stay the night before! Genuinely nice hotel! Albanian receptionist charged me twice for a late checkout which I noticed on my bank account so will chase this up! Must’ve been a mistake??? She seemed nice enough but never can tell nowadays

We - as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids), had amazing experience at Leonardo Hotel Hinckley Island. Hotel was lovely and clean, staff were friendly and welcoming with smile, breakfast was great with a variety of food and drinks for each of us and we had also lovely time at pool with free extra towels! We would definitely recommend the hotel and come back again.

Este hotel fue el mejor que se encontró en había reservado habitación doble se ha modernizado a una habitación familiar y tan pronto como llegamos a la habitación tuvimos problemas para descubrir cómo abrir la puerta con la tarjeta. Sí, yo y mi madre tenía 1 de ellos Richard Gere de Belly Woman momentos haha pero una vez en el cuarto que nos impresionó era tan limpio y amargo tenía un mini frigorífico bajo la TV todo era accesible personal era tan amable y amable. The location is fantastic! 10 minute walking distance to the theatres and shopping areas. The facade is clean and appealing and on entering the building, the bar/restaurant area really provides a wow factor. I had a double room which were two single beds pushed together, so there was no room to stretch out. The kitchenette doesn't come with washing up liquid or a sponge, so I was a little confused as to how I was supposed to clean up. The toilet was lovely, but having lifted the toilet seat, the toilet bowl was filled with yellow liquid. Easily solved with flushing. The shower was glorious I didn't want to get out. The rooms are not sound proofed so if you are a light sleeper like me, make sure you take your ear plugs. On the whole I paid £80 for the room on Trip, other sites were charging £140 so I do think I got a good deal. I paid for what I got.
