Con vistas a Gulangyu, la ubicación es excelente y las vistas inmejorables. Después de registrarse en la recepción del Edificio A, se accede al ascensor y a la habitación mediante reconocimiento facial. Debajo hay un centro comercial, por lo que no hay problema para comer, beber y entretenerse. Tomar un baño mientras se mira a lo lejos es una maravilla. Es una pena que el tiempo no acompañara.

Es genial tener piscina cubierta y gimnasio. La habitación tiene el tamaño perfecto y está limpia.
Además, la vista y la ubicación del hotel son muy buenas. Está a menos de 10 minutos a pie de ZhongShanLu.
Merece la pena volver.

Both room service and the service in café of the hotel were super awesome! Very responsive to all the requirements we had! Nice setting for a stay. They also have gym with a table tennis table there, where we spent a fair amount of time!

¡Elegir el Hotel Lujiang para nuestra visita a Xiamen durante el Festival de Primavera fue un acierto total! Como se esperaba de un punto de referencia de la antigua Xiamen, la ubicación, las vistas y el servicio son impecables.
Al ser una renovación, la decoración evoca lo antiguo, conservando los azulejos florales dejados por los chinos de ultramar de aquella época; la estética es simplemente fabulosa. Justo abajo está la calle Zhongshan, lo que hace que salir a explorar y comer sea súper conveniente. La habitación tiene vistas directas a Gulangyu, y las vistas al mar son espectaculares; tanto a los ancianos como a los niños les encantó, y las vistas nocturnas son especialmente hermosas. La habitación estaba limpia y espaciosa, con instalaciones bien pensadas, y toda la familia se sintió muy cómoda.
El personal de servicio fue amable y atento, desde que nos ayudaron con el equipaje al llegar y el check-in, hasta responder rápidamente a nuestras necesidades diarias. Fueron especialmente considerados con los ancianos y los niños, lo cual fue muy reconfortante y práctico. Mención especial para el desayuno: la variedad era abundante, con libertad para elegir aleta de tiburón, nido de golondrina y erizo de mar, y los sabores de Fujian del sur eran auténticos; toda la familia quedó satisfecha.
Con historia, paisajes y un toque humano, es perfecto para viajes familiares. ¡La próxima vez que vengamos a Xiamen, nos volveremos a alojar aquí! ¡Lo recomiendo de corazón!

Hotel was located right beside the pedestrian street, Didi driver could drop us directly outside the hotel too. The laundry, dryer and ironing board were a big plus. Hotel was clean and up to expectations, would stay again for future Xiamen trips.

I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay.
I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me.
I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters.
To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget.
For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms.
Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful.
The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees.
This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine.
This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit.
It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

TTeoSA peaceful place to chill and relax.
Very pretty, clean, modern interior and nice smelling room. Fruits, drinks and yoghurt are complimentary in every room. Within the room, it is spacious! They even offer us washing machine (equipped with detergent) in every room so we may wash our laundry. Exterior has been nicely designed too. Love the deco around the common area like the reading corner, tea table.
Breakfast is quite good though it’s the same for both days we were there. Manager nicely upgraded one of our room as it was off peak season. Found out they have another branch in Yun Shi Yao. Perhaps can consider staying there and this for 2 different nights to experience different locations with hopefully similar level of standards.

PPK WoutersA little Oasis so near yet so far from the city! Right next to the Xiamen university main gate and walking distance to the sea and the so-called 'twin towers '. Ok the good news - large lovely bedrooms, good toilet, large bathtub and good large shower. All water pressure is good and plenty of hot water. Beautiful garden area off the lower level - private and lovely and green. Nice sunshine coming in. Now the less good - strange overall decor and setup - for example - the sitting area as you enter the place is rather spartan and sparse - only one couch (not comfortable) and one table, it could be better furnished and a lot more homey and welcoming. There is no fridge. There is no wardrobe to hang clothes downstairs. When they service the room daily they don't really make up the bed. The beds are large and comfortable with good linen and pillows.The location is great but uphill and long hard climb to walk and difficult for taxis to find and to travel on crowded single street. There are many steps on the property and no elevator or ramps so difficult for accessibility. The breakfast is limited mostly a simple Chinese food. Ordering coffee ☕ is a bit challenging in English and they are not really experts at coffee. No real food menu on site. There is no English at the reception or in the compound so you need translator service. The televisions (there are three !!) in the duplex have only Chinese channels. Despite this - we loved the place and will stay here again !! Highly recommend - just understand that it is not perfect but really quite good.

UUsuario anónimoI am so impressed by Quanzhou in general. This place made sure our family was comfortable and well located. The location is very close to everything. The guesthouse is quite spacious and when we arrived our room was very clean and so were the toilets. There is something homely about this space while ensuring all facilities are met with. We enjoyed their tips on food and sightseeing. Also, their social space was great to hangout. The boss's daughter ”iron hammer” is very hard working. We will definitely come back again.

UUsuario invitadoThe staff were extremely friendly and attentive, even before my arrival. They tried to contact me in advance, but as a foreign guest, I do not have a Chinese phone number. It would be more convenient if the hotel could ask for guests’ WeChat IDs through the Trip.com messenger instead. Upon arrival, the staff created a WeChat group and added me in, which turned out to be very helpful. Through the group, they assisted with all kinds of questions, such as recommended places to visit, how to rent an e-bike, and where to eat nearby. The responsiveness and service were excellent.
The room was awesome — very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable, and the view was fantastic. I also really loved the projector screen in the room, which allowed me to watch WeTV shows and other content. It made relaxing in the room even more enjoyable.
The hotel provides e-bike rentals, which is a great feature. However, I was personally under-geared for the weather. It rained the day before, and the entire day was cloudy with temperatures around 11°C. The sea breeze was very strong and cold, especially when riding the e-bike with the wind blowing directly at you. Proper winter gear is definitely needed in such conditions. If the hotel could provide glove and jacket rentals, that would be an amazing improvement.
In the evening, the staff even brought a small gift to the room. The gift was thoughtful and practical, and I really liked it — it was a warm and welcoming gesture that made the stay feel extra special.
Breakfast was okay. Guests are seated on Level 2, and the meal is served to the table. As I come from a place where some Chinese do not consume beef, it would be great if there were options such as chicken or beef. That said, the beef noodles were actually very good. The Western-style breakfast, however, was quite average.

DDuandishigedamowang漳州賓館就是那種傳統的政府接待賓館，有個大大的院子，綠化也不錯，有參天的大樹和草坪，大院裏有好幾棟不同規格的樓，這次我住的凌波樓應該就是其中最普通的樓了吧。
設施：房間內部應該説是很傳統的，甚至還有一點點簡陋，和酒店大堂的反差還是挺明顯的，讓客人多少有點落差。
衞生：衞生條件應該還可以，但是因為年頭比較長了，有些地方還是有些污垢的。
環境：酒店外大院的環境確實是一流的，車位也很充足，綠化的也很好，大樹參天綠草如茵。
服務：還是説得過去的，不算殷勤，但是算周到了。
要吐槽的是酒店衞生間提供的吹風機，太陳舊了，竟然還是那種掛牆式的，風力熱力都不夠，很難想象這麼陳舊的設備還在服役。
我覺得無論是酒店的位置還是外部環境都不錯，衹是不要住凌波樓了，應該有條件更好的樓和房間可供選擇，如果價格不貴的，還是可以選擇的。

The hotel is an icon ”the Twin Towers” and is conveniently located in Siming, a stone's throw away from Shapowei, a cozy neighborhood filled with nice little shops and plenty of good coffee vendors. Although the hotel is a bit dated but the room still has its grandeur and spaciousness.
The check-in counters are on 38/F and the staff are nice and courteous. Our check-in staff, Dora is definitely an exemplary of the high quality service I'd expect of a 5 star hotel. She was extremely professional and follows through with us to make sure we had a nice stay. She definitely made our stay very warm and memorable.
We had a dinner at their ”Michelin” Western restaurant Coast, but the experience was not good. There were 3 tables at best, but the staff if any, were too busy looking at their phones. We had to wave many times for them to notice us. We ordered the fish, steak, and another seafood dish. The steak was overcooked and chewy, not what I'd expect from a ”Michelin” restaurant. The fish was barely luke-warm, and the other seafood dish was bland and uneventful. With the high price tag for the dishes, I would not say it's worth it in terms of taste nor in service.
The breakfast buffet however was good in terms of variety of selection, as well as in the quality of their waiters. There is also a Lawson convenient store on the G/F of the hotel, and a small shopping mall next door.
Their indoor swimming pool is nice and the view is excellent. Just remember to bring your cap as all swimmers require a swimming cap!
We had a lovely stay at Conrad Xiamen and would definitely choose this hotel again on our next stay.
