La ubicación del hotel es muy fácil de encontrar. La gente en las oficinas delanteras se da la bienvenida y la acomodación a todos los que se ingresan. Mis amigos y yo fuimos a Waterton durante el largo fin de semana y la habitación que tenemos es agradable y homey. No tengo la oportunidad de tomar una foto de la habitación, pero aquí hay algunas actividades y lugares que hemos visitado alrededor de la zona.

The location is accessible to different public transport which is convenient for solo travellers. Also, it is in the middle of downtown area where restaurants and major establishments are located. Overall, chateau Lacombe is a good hotel to stay if you are planning to go in Edmonton.

The room was clean but my sleep was disturbed by loud truck horns which was really inconvenient. I was also surprised there was no bath towel. There were only two small hand towels and one face towel. I stay in hotels regularly for work and this is the first time I’ve experienced that.

An amazing stay at this hotel!! It met our needs completely. We came in for a 2 day conference from Vancouver, BC & couldn’t have been happier with choosing the Best Western Cedar Place Hotel for our stay. The location was great. The staff were exceptional, humble, kind & receptive to our many requests that came up circumstantially. I haven’t experienced this level of client service in the hospitality industry for a very long time. Every single staff member we came across over the phone & in person was exceptional & overall our stay was an amazing experience! Thankyou again.

UUsuario invitadoI recently stayed at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise for three nights. While the location is undeniably beautiful and there were a few memorable moments during our stay, the overall service experience unfortunately did not meet the expectations I had for a hotel at this price point.
When we arrived on the first day, check-in felt somewhat rushed. The young female staff member assisting us (an Australian staff member) informed us that our room was not ready yet, which we understood as we had arrived a little early. However, she did not walk us through the hotel facilities, available activities, or provide much orientation to the property. Since the hotel is quite large, a quick overview would have been helpful for first-time guests.
We had a spa booking at the nearby Fairmont Spa at the Basin, and because our room wasn’t ready, we were advised that we would need to change there. That was a bit inconvenient as we had been hoping to freshen up in our room before heading to the spa.
We were given our room key cards anyway, but when we went upstairs to try accessing the room, the key cards didn’t work. We had to come back down to reception again to have a new set of cards issued, which added further inconvenience.
Later that evening, I called to request fresh milk for tea. Eventually, milk was delivered later, which I appreciated.
On the second day, housekeeping was another area where things fell short. By around 1:00 pm our room still hadn’t been serviced, so I called to request housekeeping. When we returned at around 5:00 pm, the room appeared to be only partially cleaned. Glasses and mugs were still dirty, and the tea bags and coffee pods had not been refilled. I had to call again to ask for the room to be properly tidied up.
We also stopped by the outdoor bar one evening and ordered hot alcoholic drinks. Unfortunately, it arrived only lukewarm. It appeared to have been pre-made and the staff simply poured it from a thermos rather than preparing it fresh. Considering it cost around $25, it didn’t feel particularly worth the price.
On the third night of our stay, the power in our room went out. As a result, we were unable to watch TV or charge any of our devices. Since the phone in the room was not working, my partner had to go to the front desk to report the issue. After waiting for nearly an hour, a technician eventually came to our room and informed us that the power would be restored soon.
Considering the price of the stay, I expected a more consistent level of service and attention to detail. Additionally, the bathroom was smaller than I anticipated for a property of this caliber. I had originally planned to stay at Fairmont properties in Quebec and Ottawa over the next two weeks, but this experience has made me reconsider.
That said, there were still some highlights during our visit. We celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Walliser Stube, which was a lovely experience overall. The steak and chicken dishes were slightly on the salty side, but the staff were attentive and kindly offered complimentary drinks to make up for it, which was a nice gesture. We were also given some honey, which was a thoughtful touch.
One of the best parts of the trip was the snowshoeing walk organized by the hotel. Our guide, Kelvin, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience very enjoyable. It ended up being one of the highlights of our stay.
Overall, the property itself is stunning and the activities are well worth experiencing. However, given the premium price point, I was expecting a higher and more consistent standard of service throughout the stay.

La situación es mi buena si no quieres quedarte en el centro de Calgary, lo tienes casi todo ( aeropuerto, centro, zona de compras...) a unos 15 minutos en coche. Relación calidad precio, de lo mejor de Calgary. Único defecto es que te cogen un depósito de 350$ y tardan una semana en devolverlo y que el early chek in es bastante caro. Llegue a las 14.00 y me quisieron cobrar un precio similar al de un dia completo, pues el chek in es a las 16.00

UUsuario invitadoI'm not the one that leaves bad reviews but I have to do this . This isn't your typical holiday inn you're used to . Far from it . Stains on blinds, not the typical spacious room I'm used to . The heating system made constant dragging noise at intervals all night . We couldn't sleep . Not what I was expecting . Then I called to see if there was an option to get the room upgraded , the lady that picked up was too eager to shut me off . There was no professionalism . Microwave was making creaking noise and the tv wasn't working when I checked in though that was fixed promptly when I called them in .
I'll give them a 5/10. I've been to other Holiday Inns in Edmonton, and they are top class with very decent people at the front desk . This is just one old hotel trying to live up to the franchise name. Not close !!!!!

UUsuario invitadoWe chose this hotel at random while driving down the highway. We were VERY glad that we did. The following day, we kept congratulating ourselves on the great choice.
It was very easy easy to get to off the highway. But yet it was protected from the busy highway noise.
The staff were absolutely 5-Star. Every single individual that we encountered, both hotel and restaurant, seemed to be genuinely friendly and professional. Specail shout-out to: Jei, Jasmeen, and Maltin. ( hopefully i got the correct names)
We used the pool in the evening, and it was a surprisingly nice facility for the price of the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed it until an excessively noisy family showed up with undisciplined kids. But that's not on the hotel.
I don't know why the restaurant was empty because it was exceptionally good food and good service. Even the breakfast buffet was far above most free breakfasts that are on offer.
The guestrooms were very quiet (even the a/c fan was quiet). Beds were comfortable. Good quality linens, pillows and towels. Beds were especially comfortable and seemed new. Carpet looked new.
The only thing I might suggest for the rooms is that they might add a floor lamp to improve the lighting. Also, they might think about bringing up the quality of bathroom amenities to current trend in higher quality in larger affixed bottles instead of small disposables
It's obvious that they're gradually upgrading an older property and haven't gotten to the hallway paint yet. But that doesn't affect the guestrooms experience.
I highly recommend this property.

El hotel se encuentra en una zona de 2 horas, donde el servicio de la puerta de atrás no puede encontrar nuestra reserva.
La reserva fue encontrada en el momento de la entrada de la ciudad.
Nos dejamos literalmente en nuestra habitación 2 minutos antes de que el agente de escritorio nos intentó pagar algo del bar de snack. No podía decirnos qué objeto habíamos “consumido” (no habíamos consumido nada - especialmente a esos precios!) y luego cuando se preguntó cómo podrían saber dentro de 2 minutos (de nosotros saliendo de nuestra habitación) que un artículo había sido consumido - se convirtieron en muy defensivo y no podían responder realmente a la pregunta de “¿Cómo sabes qué nos cuesta” y la respuesta fue “es para el informe al final del día - nadie dice que realmente tomó nada”. Except that’s exactly what the desk cleark said the charge was going to be for - “an item from the snack bar for a total of $4.20”.

UUsuario invitadoWe did a little staycation in Banff from Calgary and overall had a great time.
The cave pool was a big hit, but just a heads up that it’s not really a “swimming pool.” It’s more like a large cave-style hot tub. It’s shallow, and the water is fairly hot, so the kids couldn’t really swim or put their faces under the water. The cave setup is very cool though, and the adults really enjoyed it for relaxing. The dry sauna was also great.
We stayed in a suite with two double beds, plus a living area with a sofa bed, a dining area, and a kitchenette. We were happy with the layout. The suite was clean, but it is definitely dated.
One downside was the TVs. I know you don’t go to Banff to sit and watch TV, but it would be nice if they updated to smart TVs. If you’re traveling with kids, I’d suggest bringing a Fire Stick or Chromecast. Even an HDMI cable to connect a laptop would work, but make sure you download movies ahead of time because the Wi-Fi in our area was pretty spotty and the kids kept losing connection.
The front desk staff were fantastic. Friendly, helpful, and efficient. They made parking easy, provided bus passes, and explained local info without us having to ask a bunch of questions.
We’d stay here again, and next time we’ll definitely bring something for the TV so we can do an easy movie night after a busy day.
