Recently returned from a 4D3N stay in Penang. Check-in was quick and efficient, with a RM200 deposit required upon arrival. The lobby is relatively small and always bustling with guests coming and going. There is a convenience store located on the ground floor, and a popular Japanese restaurant just outside where people are constantly queuing, giving the hotel a lively atmosphere. The hotel offers valet service. However, the personnel stationed at the main entrance were unable to assist with even basic questions regarding directions and nearby places, which was disappointing. Reception was consistently busy throughout our stay. While service was efficient, the team appeared overwhelmed at times, resulting in little interaction or welcoming hospitality. Rooms are located up to Level 35, while the gym and pool are on Level 36. The gym is surprisingly well-equipped and was one of the highlights of the stay. With the large number of rooms in the building and only four elevators in operation, waiting times can be quite long, especially during peak periods such as check-in, check-out, and evenings. Security was one area that concerned me. Access to guest floors requires a room key card, but I noticed there were no CCTV cameras inside the elevators, along the guest room corridors, or in the stairwells. Personally, this affected my sense of security. The room itself was spacious and offered a beautiful sea view, which I thoroughly enjoyed. There was also a filtered water dispenser in the room, a feature I appreciated. Basic amenities were provided. On the downside, the water pressure in the bathroom remained weak throughout my stay, and there was a constant sewage smell coming from the bathroom. The room also did not have a telephone or safe deposit box. To contact reception, guests need to communicate via WhatsApp. There is also no room service available, though this did not affect me personally. Check-out was effortless. I simply returned the room keys and left for my morning flight without any room inspection delays. Would I visit Penang again? Absolutely. Would I stay at this hotel again? Probably not. While the room size, view, and facilities were good, the security concerns and bathroom issues would likely lead me to explore other accommodation options on my next visit.

Booking process was quite smooth and easy. The place nearby was quite happening for place to eat The room was clean But I believe it is an office modified to become a room to stay. Therefore it was very quiet outside of office hours. I found it awkward as it did not represent the vibe either an apartment or hotel.

My first stay in Tanjong Tokong, Penang was a wonderful experience! The hotel was exceptionally clean, Muslim-friendly, and offered convenient free parking. I also appreciated that the Smart TV was fully functional, which made my stay even more comfortable. The service provided by the staff was excellent, and I truly felt welcomed throughout my stay. Thank you for such a pleasant and aesthetically beautiful hotel experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and look forward to staying here again!

En general, tuvimos una estancia maravillosa de 4 días y 3 noches. La ubicación era muy conveniente, lo que nos permitió acceder fácilmente a atracciones, restaurantes y tiendas cercanas. La habitación estaba limpia y cómoda. Sin embargo, hubo algunos inconvenientes al solicitar artículos de tocador y servicio de limpieza, ya que la respuesta podía ser bastante lenta. También se recomienda a los huéspedes no dejar objetos de valor sin vigilancia en la habitación por precaución. El primer día, durante el registro de entrada, el vestíbulo estaba extremadamente lleno, con muchos huéspedes esperando. El ambiente se sentía bastante congestionado y tenía un olor desagradable. Algunos huéspedes se mostraban visiblemente impacientes, pero, para ser justos, el personal de recepción hizo todo lo posible por atender a todos lo más rápido posible. Las instalaciones eran aceptables, aunque limitadas debido a la gran cantidad de usuarios. Mi hijo notó que la piscina estaba muy limpia y cristalina por la tarde cuando llegamos, pero por la noche el agua estaba turbia y sucia. Esto sugiere que el sistema de filtración o mantenimiento puede tener problemas durante las horas punta. En general, fue una estancia agradable y con una buena relación calidad-precio. Consideraríamos alojarnos aquí de nuevo, preferiblemente durante la temporada baja para disfrutar de una mejor experiencia.

El lugar está limpio. Ofrecen zapatillas, champú, gel de ducha, lavavajillas, jabón de manos y detergente para la ropa. Las habitaciones son un poco estrechas. Hay puestos de comida que venden todo tipo de refrigerios, como fideos, nasi lemak, kueh, etc. Ideal para desayunar y picar entre comidas. Como estamos en la calle 36, tenemos una buena vista de la ciudad. En general, es un buen lugar para alojarse.

I would say it was an excellent experience. The check-in process was smooth, and the host responded to my messages very quickly. The unit is well-equipped with amenities like a water dispenser, TV box, and board games. My friends and I enjoyed our stay so much that we didn’t even feel like going out. The pictures matched the listing perfectly. The building and unit are new, so everything felt fresh and clean from the moment we entered. I also made use of the facilities like gym and infinity sky pool on the top floor, which added even more value to the stay Will come back again if I come to Penang

Loved my accommodation in Penang 🫶🏻 It offers multiple room options (studio and 1-3 bedrooms). Since I got the 3-bedroom but ended up going solo, I chose to sleep in different rooms every night for funsies 😆 The place is far from the attractions (30 min drive to Georgetown) but only 12 minutes away from the airport which came in handy when I couldn’t book a grab for my departure flight. Thankfully I arrived to the airport with a few minutes to spare 😮💨 I appreciated the bespoke towels and toiletries. The water filtration system was also wonderful. You can have cold, hot, and ambient temperature water. The kitchen has the necessary equipment for cooking (no condiments or cooking ingredients which is understandable) but I only used the fridge and microwave. The primary bedroom is spacious and has an en suite. The middle room is the smallest but still has a queen sized bed (the other bedrooms have a king bed). The internet connection is fast but the third room has spotty wifi sometimes. Water pressure is good. Enjoyed hot showers at night. They also provide hair dryer. While exploring the amenities I found the iron and board at the 13th floor (there’s also vending machines). The room has a washing machine but I didn’t use it. I felt safe and secure throughout my stay. The room has an electronic door knob so you only need the code to get in but a keycard is necessary to use the elevator and access the amenities (I was given 2 during the check in). When I go back to Penang, I will choose this place again (maybe a smaller room this time if it’s another solo trip).

Casa espaciosa, pero la ruta de estacionamiento interior es un poco estrecha para un auto sedán. Si el mpv puede volverse una molestia para llegar a su espacio de estacionamiento designado.
